The installation procedure for OpenFOAM-1.6-ext on openSUSE 11.4-64bit can be found here. There is a possibility that this procedure is not complete, as it worked on my laptop computer, but not on my desktop computer, both running 64 bit openSUSE 11.4. Nevertheless, I decide to post this procedure, since this might work on your computer.
